This Radical Feminist Websites’ Struggles Are Just Too Damn Funny

Will they ever learn?

The founders of Everyday Feminism, a radical feminist website, have started begging for money on Twitter because they say they’re hitting financial hardships and won’t be able to continue operating unless people give them their hard earned cash.

They have created something they are calling their “Emergency May Booster Fund” so that they can survive “scary financial trouble that’s threatening to put a halt to our work — maybe even as soon as the end of May.”

In other words, their work doesn’t generate enough value for people to be willing to pay for it, so now they’re begging… in a GIF thread.

It was full of BS like this:

Yeah, funny thing is, those people aren’t giving you money because these are people sitting around on the internet all day bitching about the patriarchy.

You know, kinda the same situation you’re in right now.

They kept going on and on about how they were relevant, saying “It’s quite a challenge, to say the least, to create independent, intersectional feminist media in a financially sustainable way, especially in a world that doesn’t value what we do.”

They even tried to create a hashtag so people could enable their madness, #SaveEF:

Some tweeted in support:

Buuuuuut, as expected, a lot of sane people tweeted too:

Does anyone actually donate to this kinda crap? I’m pretty sure they probably got about enough to buy themselves a round of overpriced Starbucks coffees…
